Snowshoe tour

ADD A ROOM RENTAL TO YOUR BOOKING

Maximize your group activities during weekends and holidays from January to March by renting the Yurt for $250 or the Loft for $400. Timeslots are available from 10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm.  If you've already bought tickets, just give us a call to add a room rental. Room descriptions and capacities can be found here

SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS

Have a group of people, ages 7+, who want to learn or improve their skiing or riding skills? Lessons are available on select weekdays and Sunday evenings after 4:30pm.

  • 2-hour lesson for 20-24 people (3 instructors)  - $999 + tax
  • Up to 8 additional participants (1 additional instructor)  - $299 + tax

Non-Season Pass holders must add lift tickets on per person, see above for group lift ticket pricing. Discounted rentals are only available for those in group lessons. Contact info@mtseymour.ca to inquire about group lessons.

*These are outdoor education programs and will include the use of snowshoes when required, but can be adapted to be a hiking program that can run year-round. No refunds provided if snowshoes are not used.

Intro to Snowshoeing – 2 or 3 hours

Participants will be guided through the picturesque mountain terrain by an experienced guide, who will enlighten guests on how the seasonal changes we experience here at Mt Seymour affect all walks of life. Also included are tips and advice on how to travel safely through winter terrain and how to plan a safe trip into the mountains while enjoying the many benefits that come with it.

Nature Games – 2 or 3 hours

Have fun playing games and learning to snowshoe while experiencing the winter ecosystem. Just as younger animals play games to practice skills they’ll need to survive in the mountain environment, we too can learn mountain life skills through play. 

Twilight Tour – 2 hours

Guests have the opportunity to learn and understand more of Mt Seymour's history, such as how it has been shaped by many different people over thousands of years, including the Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish First Nations. In addition, participants will be able to learn more about the creation of the Provincial Park and view old-growth forest under the beauty of darkness. 

Snowshoe Showdown – 2 or 3 hours

This interactive team building program leads groups through fun, fast–paced, team-oriented tasks and challenges. Participants will engage in friendly competition against each other while building team spirit, burning energy, and having tons of fun.  

Winter Survival Challenge – 3 hours

Learn the basics of winter safety and test your ability to survive in the snow! Groups will learn about trip planning and preparedness, shelter building, and fire starting. Teams will be given survival scenario to work through using only the equipment found in the backpack provided. Have fun and gain confidence in our snowy winter forest. 

Chocolate Fondue  3 hours, ages 13+

Enjoy the enchantment of an evening snowshoe tour as you explore the magic of winter under the night sky. This guided experience will lead you through rolling forested trails to a hand-carved snow lounge where you will indulge in a delicious chocolate fondue featuring fresh-cut fruit and special dipping treats. Your guide will share fun facts and stories about chocolate and the fondue tradition while you dip your way into cocoa bliss. 

*NEW* Canadian Winter - 2 hours

This program is intended for new Canadians and families. Participants will learn about the history of snowshoeing in Canada while embarking on a scenic stroll through snowy trails. Guests will come away from the experience having gained knowledge of what plants and animals exist in their new backyard and how to enjoy Canadian winters. Tours will include the chance to make maple syrup candies in the snow – a true testament to being able to say you are Canadian!
