SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Retail Supervisor, this is a seasonal position November to April. Flexibility in shifts is important; during the operational season both day and afternoon/ evening shifts will be required. You are part of the retail team, and you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth daily operation of our retail stores. You’ll be expected to perform cashiers’ duties as well as assist customers with purchases and product knowledge, to produce sales in a manner that meets our high service.
Responsibilities
- Working with Retail Supervisor to complete monthly Inventory counts, and store equipment checks.
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and safety of our store.
- You will welcome guests into your immediate work area and be aware of the potential of upselling and providing extra services or products for our guests.
- Provide first-time skiers and snowboarders with in-depth product knowledge and general industry information.
- Always be aware of inventory stock and appearance, know the products selling points.
- Complete the Daily Retail Communications Sheets as tool between shifts.
- Assist the Retail Supervisor with meeting monthly sales targets and ideas on profitable improvements.
- Be knowledgeable of mountain daily activities, special events, guest facilities and all promotional material available to guests.
- Other related duties as required.
- Handle cash sales accurately.
- Complete cash outs and settlements independently.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU
- Experience in a high-volume environment.
- Area of previous work should relate to retail.
- Ability to effectively work in a team & communicate clearly.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, clear and concise handwriting.
- Advanced level of MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and guest services skills.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. of equipment/gear for up to 1 km.
- Cash handling experience
- Sustain physical activity for 8 working hours.
- Stand for 8 working hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to be a supportive team member
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Seasonal position, immediate through to mid-April
- Hourly wage-$17.75-$19/hour
