SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a varied position responsible for maintaining our company’s entire fleet of vehicles and equipment, including loaders, snow groomers, snowplows, and buses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will identify and prioritize vehicle maintenance requirements.
- You will carry out vehicle equipment maintenance and repairs on all Mt Seymour vehicles and machinery as needed.
- You will ensure that all manufacturer’s guidelines and government regulations regarding vehicle maintenance and repair are followed.
- Shipping and receiving of materials as required.
- Maintaining records regarding maintenance work performed, materials used, quality, and cost control.
- You will ensure a high standard in all finished work while remaining cost-effective.
- You’ll be responsible for thorough record keeping and the reporting of equipment status including but not limited to work performed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold an Inter-Provincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson’s ticket or equivalent experience.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Willing and able to work in all weather conditions while performing labor-intensive duties.
- Own vehicle required to travel to and from work.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Five 8-hour shifts/week, some weekends and evenings. (October-April).
- Four 10-hour shifts/week during the off-season (May-September).
- Wage rate: $39-$45 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
