Visual Coordinator
Embark on an exciting journey with Mt Seymour Ski Area as a multi-talented Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Videographer. Reporting to the Marketing Director, and working closely with the Marketing Team, you will harness your creativity and technical skills to visually communicate the essence of Mt Seymour through compelling graphics, captivating photographs, and engaging videos. You will already be a skier or snowboarder and be comfortable filming while skiing/snowboarding and working in snow and mountain weather for extended periods of time. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to build their portfolio in the ski and snowboard industry. This is a full-time, seasonal position, which is located at Mt Seymour and requires some evening and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphic Design:
- Conceptualize and produce eye-catching graphics for digital and print mediums, including social media content, website elements, promotional materials, signage, and more.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand representation across all design assets.
- Craft visually appealing layouts that effectively convey the excitement of outdoor adventures and the resort experience.
- Photography:
- Capture stunning photographs that showcase the resort's natural beauty, guests, activities, and facilities.
- Edit and enhance photos to achieve the desired visual impact and storytelling effect.
- Videography:
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos that highlight the spirit of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, and the overall resort ambiance.
- Employ cinematic techniques to tell compelling stories through video content.
- Post-produce videos, including color correction, sound editing, and visual effects, for various platforms including social media.
- Content Creation:
- Work with the Marketing Department to generate innovative ideas and concepts for visual content that resonate with our target audience.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and shot lists to ensure coherent narratives in both photography and videography projects.
- Collaboration:
- Liaise with different departments to gather essential information and assets for design, photography, and video projects.
Qualifications:
- The ability to work and live in Canada until at least May 2027
- Be able to work with tight deadlines
- A diverse portfolio demonstrating your expertise in graphic design, photography, and videography, with a focus on storytelling and aesthetic quality.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Strong skills in capturing and editing high-quality photos and videos, including post-production techniques.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and layout for both digital and print media.
- Keen awareness of design, photography, and videography trends, coupled with an eagerness to stay informed about industry advancements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Period of Employment: Immediate start, contract until May 28, 2027, with the possibility to extend (for the right candidate)

$63K-$67K pro rata (dependent on experience)
