Title: Community Liaison/ Shuttle Attendant (Holidays and Weekends only)
Department: Traffic & Grounds    
Reports to:  Mountain Operations

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Community Liaison is responsible for managing and organizing the shuttle patrons and shuttle stop area during high volume periods. The core responsibility is to answer guest questions, keep shuttle stops tidy, organize shuttle lines, prioritize where necessary, and enforce parking rules at Parkgate Community center/Library and surrounding areas.

  • You are outgoing and friendly with a pleasant and professional demeanor
  • You have well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and openly with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • You are comfortable working outdoors 
  • You have the ability to work effectively with little supervision
  • You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Responsibilites:

  • To provide guests with up-to-date shuttle information, including the next bus, schedule, and cost (if applicable)
  • To set up/tear down and properly store line equipment and other related supplies
  • To maintain radio/phone contact with base for up-to-date date shuttle information
  • To answer any guest questions related to the status of operations, conditions, daily activities, special events, Mt Seymour facilities, products, and other facilities near the shuttle stop.
  • To enforce the parking rules and provide alternate locations
  • Organize shuttle lineups and assist with offload/upload


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

  • Part time, seasonal position, December through to mid-April
  • Hourly wage-$20/hour
  • Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass
