Title: Traffic & Grounds Attendant
Department: Mountain Operations 
Reports to:  Road and Slopes Manager 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Traffic and Grounds Crew Chief, and Slopes and Roads Manager, the Traffic and Grounds Attendant is responsible for using safe and effective methods in performing their duties, to ensure a high standard of service is provided to Mt Seymour guests and staff alike. This position is key to the success and day-to-day smooth running of the resort.

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

  • You enjoy working outdoors in winter conditions.
  • You can work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • You can carry 30lbs approx. of equipment.
  • You can shovel snow for long periods.
  • You can sustain physical activity for the entirety of your 8hr shift.
  • You want to share the stoke with our guests and keep the energy high.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

  • A positive and friendly attitude in all winter weather conditions.
  • Previous guest-facing experience.
  • Able to be assertive while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
  • Able to follow directions and work unsupervised.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment with the ability to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
  • Flexibility in your schedule during high-volume periods of the winter season.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Seasonal position, November through to April.
  • $18 -$22 per hour, depending on experience/certifications.
  • Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass.
