Rentals Supervisor

Title: Rental Supervisor
Department: Rentals
Reports to: Rentals Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Rentals Management, you are part of the management team and will be responsible for pre-season planning, hiring, training, reporting, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Rentals & Retail Department/team. This position is required to work day & evening shifts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will communicate daily with the rental management team and supervisors from other departments and meet regularly with the Rentals & Retail Manager, and report on your area of responsibility. You’ll also participate in regular department meetings
  • You will assist the Rentals & Retail Manager with the overall operation of the department including schools, camps, and groups, and department scheduling tasks
  • You will monitor Siriusware and Shopkeep cash systems
  • You will keep your area organized within the Rental & Retail Department
  • You will support other rental managers/supervisors in their area of responsibility when they are not on shift
  • You will collaboratively prepare and deliver pre-season training, and continue to coach staff throughout the season, and continually review & update the Rentals & Retail training manual
  • You will organize lost & found items nightly

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a high-volume retail environment
  • Technical knowledge of the ski & snowboard industry
  • Technical certification in Head-Tyrolia
  • Previous supervisory experience with a seasonal and young workforce
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, clear and concise handwriting
  • Advanced level of MS Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and guest services skills
  • Personal transportation to work outside of shuttle bus schedules

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

  • Seasonal position, November thru to mid-April
  • Daytime & evening shifts
  • Hourly wage
