Lift Operators

Title: Lift Operator 
Department: Mountain Operations 
Reports to: Lift Supervisors & Lift Manager 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Reporting to the Lift Supervisors & Lift Manager, the Lift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of Mt Seymour chair lifts, and to ensure a high standard of service is provided to Mt Seymour guests. 

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF: 

• You can be the smiling, friendly face guests see when they load the chair.
• You can shovel and move snow to create a safe loading and unload ramp.
• You can be prepared for any weather events on a mountain in winter.
• You can assess guests’ needs or requirements when loading/unloading the chair.
• You want to share the stoke with our guests and keep the energy high.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU: 

• A positive and friendly attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish strong working relationships with staff, coworkers, and guests.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to provide timely and high-quality service to guests and staff.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment and able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing labor-intensive duties.
• Must be 18yrs +.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  

• Seasonal position, December through to mid-April.
• Full-time hourly wage starting at $18.50 per hour.
