Lift Operations Assistant Manager
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Lift Operations Manager. The Lift Operations Assistant Manager will assist the Manager with the overall operation of the Lifts Department. Duties will include overseeing the operation of all lifts, assisting with the recruitment, training and supervision of all lift employees and ensuring that the lifts department provides an excellent standard of service to our guests. During the non-operational season May to October this position will support the Mountain Operations Team with Summer grooming and resort maintenance duties.
This is a full-time year-round position with the potential to move into the Lift Operations Managers role within 12-18 months.
Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day-to-day operation of all lift stations
· Assist with pre-season and post-season preparations and ramp down.
· Assist with the recruitment, training, scheduling, administration and direction of all lift staff and supervisors.
· Work with the maintenance team to ensure all lift equipment is maintained and functioning safely by reporting issues in a timely manner and following all record-keeping protocols and reporting procedures.
· Provide a high quality, friendly and cooperative service to all guests and other Mt Seymour staff.
· Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all lift stations and related areas.
· Keep a clean, organized and safe work environment.
· Report and rectify any unsafe acts.
· Maintaining necessary tools within the department.
· Thorough understanding of all technical lift operation procedures including emergency procedures.
· Maintaining excellent communication with Lifts Manager and Mountain Operations Manager.
· Promote and maintain Occupational Health & Safety Program and Claims Management Program.
· Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Excellent understanding of lift operation and maintenance procedures.
· Previous supervisory experience.
· Ability to work unsupervised.
· Ability to respond to emergency situations and remain calm under pressure.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
· Strong communication skills
· Good time management skills
· Flexible approach – able to work in a dynamic environment
· Ability to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgments.
· Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
· Ability to ski or snowboard.

· Wage Rate: $25.00 per hour
