Reports to: Assistant Operations Manager & Operations Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Base Radio Operator is a hands-on position and is responsible for controlling and coordinating all mountain communications and activities. Based in our Operations Administration hub this position works with all resort departments to ensure the resort runs smoothly.

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

• You possess excellent communication and organization skills.
• You can work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
• You can monitor radio and telephone communications simultaneously.
• You can provide administrative support to the Operations Manager, Safety Manager, and other key personnel in the Operations Department.
• You can follow instructions and work independently, taking the initiative to identify and complete work projects.

• Strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with staff and supervisory personnel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy work environment and be able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
• Knowledge of resort operations and local terrain is an asset.
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs is an asset.
• Able to be a supportive team member.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Seasonal position, November through to mid-April.
• Hourly wage.
