Rentals and Retail -Night Supervisor

Winter 2026/27

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Reporting to the Rentals and Retail Manager, the Rentals and Retail Night Supervisor is a full-time seasonal, position starting in November and ending in April. It is anticipated that this role will work dayshifts pre and post season, switching to primarily later shifts once the resort becomes operational.  There will be some flexibility to work dayshifts once the resort becomes operational depending on business volumes.  This is a key role within the rentals and retail team, responsibilities will include planning, organizing and operating the Rentals & Retail Department as well as hiring, training, and supervising employees. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Monitor and promote health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures in the workplace.  
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Assist with the management of the Rental Season Pass system and the operation of the Rental and Retail department in the evenings 
  • Communicate daily with your team and sometimes supervisors from other departments who interact with Rentals & Retail regarding operational issues. 
  • Learn and become proficient in the use of Siriusware which is the main operating system for the rentals department.  
  • Support (represent) other Rental and Retail Managers in their area of responsibility when they are not on shift. 
  • Prepare and deliver pre-season and ongoing training, specifically rental season pass (RSP), training and continually review & update next year’s training manual for your areas of responsibility. 
  • Meet regularly with the Rentals & Retail Managers and report on your area of responsibility. Participate in regular department meetings. 
  • Assist with overall operation of the department in the evening including lesson programs, RSP and scheduling. 
  • Other related duties as required 

 

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Post-secondary education 
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced customer service or service industry environment. 
  • Technical knowledge of the ski & snowboard industry. 
  • Technical certification in Head-Tyrolia (an asset)  
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

  • Must be available to work later hours and a variety of shifts as required by business needs. 
  • Ideally own vehicle for travel to and from work. 
  • Must be able to physically:  
  • Work in all weather conditions,  
  • Sustain a professional working manner during emergency situations. 
  • Work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.   
  • Be able to stand/walk for 8 hours per day. 
  • Be able to lift and carry rental equipment. 
  • Strong decision making, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Dependable, timely and cooperative.   
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment with ability to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgement.  
  • Able to follow direction and work unsupervised. 

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Seasonal position, November thru to mid-April
  • $23-$25/hour dependent on experience and qualifications
