Park Operator-Mount Seymour Provincial Park

Title: Park Operator 
Department: Mountain Operations 
Reports to: Director of Operations
 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Park Operator is responsible for conducting daily sweeps of Mount Seymour Provincial Park. Maintaining trailheads and all park facilities on the 13km Mount Seymour Road. You will be responsible for basic landscaping, garbage collection, and trail maintenance.

  • You take pride in your work and the maintenance of provincial parks.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

  • A positive and friendly attitude in all weather conditions.
  • Able to follow directions and work unsupervised.
  • Capable of using gas-powered landscaping tools.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, year round 
  • Hourly wage: $22-$23/hour (dependent on experience). 
  • Complimentary season pass to be used for the upcoming season.
  • 50% of employee benefit costs including medical, dental, extended health, life insurance, and long-term disability after 3 months of continuous full-time employment.
