Reports to: Shuttle Bus Coordinator & Operations Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mt Seymour is a winter and summer recreation area located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

We are currently recruiting for shuttle bus drivers full time and part time to join our summer operations team with the potential to continue on in the Winter. We are looking for someone who is patient yet firm, dependable and safety minded. This position offers job security, a flexible split shift schedule (but paid for a full 8 hours), and is perfectly suited for retirees or anyone looking for some extra income.

The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the Mt Seymour Shuttle and charter bus as it carries camp participants to and from the Mountain.

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

  • You can operate the shuttle bus in accordance with camp schedules
  • You can communicate with Base Radio regarding occupancy of the shuttle bus and any schedule updates due to traffic delays.
  • You can maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle.
  • You can Identify maintenance needs of shuttle buses and maintain open communication with Vehicle Maintenance Department.
  • You can perform pre and post trip inspections.
  • You Keep neat and accurate records.
  • You can perform other related duties as required.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

  • Minimum Class 2 BC License with air brake endorsement.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to be a supportive team member.
  • Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised.
  • BC Drivers Abstract.
  • Must pass a criminal records check

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full time or Part time seasonal position, July/August (with potential for winter season).
  • Starting at $25.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
  • Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass.
