Ski & Snowboard School Volunteers
Our programs operate throughout the day on weekends, during the Christmas and Spring Break periods, and during the evening of Wednesdays from January and February.
Volunteer Program Options
A. High School Practicum Pass (15 years and up)
• For a minimum of 100 hours on-hill volunteering throughout the season plus 2 training days - volunteers will receive a complimentary volunteer season pass including a Mt Seymour Shuttle Bus Pass.
• Training and full subsidize of a Canadian Ski Instructor Alliances Level 1 Course and can also be count towards high school 10 (2 credits).
B. Complimentary Volunteer Season Pass.
• For a minimum of 60 hours on-hill volunteering throughout the season plus 2 training days –volunteers will receive a complimentary volunteer season pass including a Mt Seymour Shuttle Bus Pass.
C. Complimentary Volunteer Season Pass + Unlimited Family Pass (Over 19 years)
• For a minimum of 80 hours on-hill volunteering throughout the season plus 2 training days –volunteers will receive a complimentary volunteer season pass including a Mt Seymour Shuttle Bus Pass plus a Unlimited family pass for immediate family. (Normally this option is restricted to adults age 19 plus or volunteers who have completed at least 1 previous season).

Mountain Host Volunteers
Duties involve working in different areas of the resort assisting guests with directions and information, assisting with special events and working on skis or snowboards to help guests enjoy our Resort. Volunteers are mostly required weekends and during school holidays (Christmas & Spring Break ) and Monday evenings January thru until April.
In return for volunteering your time and commitment, Mt. Seymour provides a full Staff season pass, training and staff benefits.

- For a minimum of 60 hours on-hill volunteering throughout the season plus 2 training days - volunteers will receive a complimentary volunteer season pass including a Mt Seymour Shuttle Bus Pass. plus an Unlimited family pass for immediate family members.( some restrictions apply)
Qualifications
- Minimum 19 years of age.
- Intermediate skiing or snowboarding abilities *
- Must have ski/snowboard equipment
- Must enjoy working outside & be in good physical shape
- Friendly & outgoing personality
- * There are a few volunteer opportunities for non-skiing/non-snowboarding volunteers who enjoy being outdoors.

Mountain Safety Volunteers
Mountain Safety Volunteers are an important part of the safety program at Mt Seymour. Mountain Safety will work closely with Mt Seymour Ski Patrol to ensure that hazards on the mountain are mitigated. Volunteers are needed to assist in various areas on hill such as opening and closing runs, maintaining area boundaries, ticket checking, reporting incidents, and assisting paid patrollers as needed. Mountain Safety Volunteers will also act as hosts, providing guests with directions and assistance.
The Mountain Safety Program operates on both 3-hour or 6-hour weekday and evening shifts, weekend evening shifts. Volunteers will be expected to Volunteer a minimum of 6 hours every two weeks, plus an additional 2-hour training sessions every other week. This equates to roughly 60 volunteer hours a season, plus 20 hours of training over the course of 5 months. In return for volunteering your time and commitment, Mt Seymour provides Seasons Passes and tickets, training and staff benefits.
