Building Services Attendant

Mt Seymour is a winter recreation area located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We are located about 30 minutes from the vibrant west coast city of Vancouver. We are currently looking for F/T Building Services Attendants to join our Facilities team.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Keep a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Report and rectify any unsafe acts.
  • Be a positive role-model and assist other employees and guests at the resort as required.
  • Thorough cleaning of all Food and Beverage Outlets including entrances and washrooms
  • Cleaning and set up of the Yurt, Hut, the Loft and Earl Pletch Room for group usage.
  • Responsible for the periodic cleaning of Rentals & Retail, Guest Services, Patrol, Administration, Operations offices and other staff areas.
  • Thorough and regular cleaning of staff and public washrooms, including the reporting of any maintenance concerns in these areas.
  • Regular garbage, organics and recycling removal from office and public areas.
  • Appropriate and safe use of cleaning products. Follow the guidelines and rules set out by WHMIS
  • Upkeep and maintenance of all janitorial equipment.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous janitorial experience considered an asset.
  • WHMIS certification is an asset but not required.
  • Be willing and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Enrollment or completion of a recognized janitorial program is preferred.
  • Ability to follow direction and work unsupervised.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in all mountain weather conditions.
  • Must have flexible working hours.
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a high volume environment and able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
  • Ability to be a supportive team member.
