Are you a passionate skier or snowboarder who can communicate your love of snowsports to our diverse audience? Can you inspire and engage our guests with your wicked writing skills and social media savvy?

Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and customer service ethic will compliment your multitasking and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and photography skills, and be able to effectively communicate to different audiences using multiple social media channels.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience and build a resume in a fast-paced, customer orientated, industry.

Thie position is seasonal, full-time, from October until end of April. The salary is dependent on the level of experience


  • Excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Good photography skills
  • Well organized and able to multitask
  • Creative self-starter who is able to manage their own workload.
  • Skier or snowboarder
  • Access to own transportation
  • Must work weekends and some evenings.


Social Media

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections with our guests.
  • Moderate and respond to all user-generated content in line with Mt Seymour’s moderation policy for each community.
  • Manage Mt Seymour’s online company pages and profiles to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  • Work with all departments to determine how to heighten activity profiles and increase visitors through social media.


  • Assisting in advertising creative
  • Assisting in developing an annual Media & Communications Plan.
  • Produce a weekly e-newsletter  
  • Provide editing and writing support to ensure Mt Seymour branding and messaging is consistent and represented accurately through all marketing materials.


  • Represent Mt Seymour as a spokesperson in the media or coordinate interviews if necessary.
  • Draft press releases
  • Liaise with media contacts to ensure editorial needs are met.
  • Measure and record all media activity.


  • Coordinate Mt Seymour’s Monday fundraiser ‘Shred for the Cause’
  • Supporting the Event Coordinator with the planning and execution of events.
  • Experience using Website Content Management Systems an advantage.
  • A working knowledge of Photoshop an advantage.
  • Upholding Mt Seymour’s brand, mission and mandate.
  • Compliance with all Mt Seymour policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook.
  • Other related duties as required.
