The following is a listing of the seasonal positions that we are recruiting for.  Most positions are available on a F/T and P/T basis. When you are applying, please specify the position(s) or department(s) you are interested in.

Lesson Desk/ Guest Services Assistant
This position assists guests to book ski and snowboard lessons at the resort and also assists them with a range of other products and services such as area pass sales, rentals equipment purchases and general enquiries.  You must have great guest service skills and previous cash handling experience. 

Call Centre Representative
This position handles incoming calls concerning Ski School programs and general guest inquiries you must have superior guest service skills as well as professional phone manners.  Call centre experience an asset.

Ski & Snowboard Instructors
To be considered for instructor positions you must be certified, either thru CASI or CSIA or an equivalent overseas organization.  We have both F/T and P/T positions.   Our ski school has a large number of beginners and Children therefore you must enjoy teaching this market.

Snowshoe Guide
You will be leading guided tours on snowshoes and sharing your knowledge and love of the outdoors with other enthusiasts and future outdoor lovers.  You must enjoy speaking in public and possess a valid first aid certificate, related education an asset.

The Mt Seymour Food & Beverage Department prepares and serves delicious meals and snacks in The Rock Chute Restaurant or Grillworks cafeteria-style restaurant.  This department offers a variety of positions to suit a wide set of skills.  

Bus Person 
This position is responsible for clearing and cleaning tables in Grillworks and The Rock Chute.

If you have previous serving experience and enjoy interacting with people in a high volume pub style restaurant, this is a great position for you.  Must be 19 years of age or older and have a "Serving It Right" certificate.

Grillworks Cashier
A pleasant and friendly manner is required while you handle cash sales in the cafeteria.  Previous cash handling experience is an asset for this position.

This position works in the Rock Chute – pub style restaurant, you must be at least 19 and have a "Serving It Right" certificate.

Your main responsibility will be to prepare pub or cafeteria style food in a high volume, fast paced environment.  You are able to work well under pressure and enjoy preparing quality meals for your guests.  We accept applications from candidates with all levels of experience.

The Guest Services department is always busy ensuring that our guests’ needs are met.  These are indoor positions that may begin as early as September and involve many administrative functions.

Guest Services Representative
You must be able to deal with guests in a friendly and professional manner.  Some of your duties will include processing season passes and answering guest inquiries.  Strong communication skills are required.

Ticket Office Cashier
You will be selling lift tickets and accurately accounting for daily transactions.  Previous cash handling experience is required as well as a friendly, helpful and outgoing attitude. 

This department is always hopping . . . equipping guests with skis, snowboards and snowshoes.  All technician work is done in this department.  In addition, it houses the Retail Store. 

Rental Technician
Working in our Rental Shop you will assist guests with the rental of snowboard and ski equipment.  For technician positions we provide certification courses for qualified candidates, however, you must be 19 years of age for these positions.  

Service Staff 
This position performs a variety of tasks within the Rental Shop including boot fitting and guest services.  You must enjoy dealing with guests in a fast paced environment. 

Retail Cashier
In this position you will be assisting guests with their purchases in the retail store.  You must have previous cash handling experience and a good customer service skills.

The Mountain Operations Department offers positions for those that enjoy working primarily outdoors with guests.  

Base Radio Operator
In this position you will be responsible for supporting efficient mountain communications through the use and monitoring of the base VHF radio and telephone systems.  You must have clear speaking skills, work well under pressure and be able to multi-task.  This is an indoor position.

Lift Operator
You will provide Mt. Seymour guests with friendly service as you assist them getting on and off the chair lifts.  You must be able to ski or snowboard and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

You will be responsible for providing first aid assistance to injured skiers/snowboarders as well as maintaining a safe area for everyone on the runs and trails.  Expert skiing and/or snowboarding abilities required as well as a valid Occupational First Aid level 3 certificate or equivalent. Previous patrol or first aid (paid or volunteer) experience is an asset.

Traffic & Grounds Attendant
In this position you will perform a variety of outdoor duties, including directing traffic in our parking lots, responding to incidents on our 13km mountain road, and assisting with outdoor maintenance such as snow removal in our base area.  You must be able to work in all weather conditions. A valid B.C. Driver's license is required.

Building Services Attendant
You will be responsible for performing a variety of janitorial tasks to ensure that buildings and washrooms are kept clean. 

Snow Groomer
This position operates a Snowcat and is responsible for grooming the ski runs at the resort, positions typically work in the late evenings and overnight.  Previous experience as a groomer is required, or strong equipment operating skills.

Snow Removal
This position operates our loader equipment and is responsible for removing snow from our parking lots and roadways.  Flexible shifts, must have previous experience operating heavy equipment.

Snow Plow Operators
This position is responsible for the operation of our snow plows along our 13km access road.  Flexible shifts, ideally will have previous snow plow experience.  Air brakes endorsement required.

Enquist Snowplay Area
Snowplay Attendant
Your outgoing personality will be an asset as you operate the toboggan and tube park area in a safe manner.  To excel at this position you must enjoy working outdoors with the public. 

Snowplay Cashier
Working in the Enquist lodge you will be responsible for ticket sales.  Strong cash handling, the ability to work independently with confident and friendly guest services skills.

If you are enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, love the outdoors and can ski or snowboard we have some great volunteer opportunities at Mt Seymour.  You can either assist instructors to teach our children’s lesson programs or be a Mountain Host providing information and assistance to guests around the resort.  As a volunteer you receive a complimentary Mt Seymour Seasons pass, as well as many of the benefits enjoyed by our employees.
